Precautions for in-person appointments.

The Government of Alberta has provided additional guidelines to assist with reducing COVID-19 transmission. 


Restrictions Exemption Program:

Our Physiotherapy, Naturopathic Doctor, and Registered Massage Therapy services continue to be open for in-person appointments.  These professions are listed as “Out of Scope Operators” on the Alberta Government website and do not participate in the Restrictions Exemption Program. 

Telehealth is a great option for attending your physiotherapist or Dr. Gayle Maguire (ND) and Pilates instructors are available to teach virtually!

Travel:

In keeping with Federal quarantine requirements, international travellers directed by Canada Border Services Agency to quarantine may not attend our offices for in person appointments until the quarantine period has expired.  Additionally, children under 12 returning from international travel will be asked to schedule in person appointments 14 days after their return to Canada.  https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid

Isolation:

Isolation is still legally required for people who have COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive. https://www.alberta.ca/isolation.aspx 

However, anyone who is a household contact and is not fully immunized, should stay home for 14 days (i.e. not attend work, school or other activities).  This would include not attending an in-person appointment at our Clinic or Studio during this time.

We will continue to contact trace to the best of our abilities and notify individuals as appropriate.

Masks:

Effective September 16, 2021 the Government of Alberta have made face masks mandatory again in all public spaces.  Lakeview Physiotherapy Clinic and Movement Studio have been implementing masks since May 2020 and will continue to have all staff, practitioners, and clients wear face masks.


In-Person Appointments:

For every client and staff member, we screen for COVID-19 symptoms each and every visit.  As a client, you will be emailed a COVID survey 2 hours before your appointment.  Please complete this every time you have an in-person appointment. Please hand sanitize prior to proceeding into the office.  You may wear your own mask or we will provide one for you free of charge.  Our front desk staff can help you with contactless payment and booking.  

Between client visits, we clean and disinfect our treatment tables, chairs, and equipment.
