These virtual, or Telehealth, appointments are very easy to use. Our appointment and booking system, called Jane App, has built-in their own Online Appointment platform so you don’t need to remember another password! These video sessions are provided within the secure infrastructure that meets all privacy standards. This means that all the traffic flows directly between each user’s web browser .The traffic is also encrypted in transit and none of the data is stored anywhere at any time. This approach ensures our online appointments are PIPA compliant and addresses the major privacy concerns that Alberta physiotherapy clinics and patients have around telehealth. You can use Jane App on a Chrome browser on your laptop. Or, you can download the app for iPads and iPhones.
How do Online appointments work?
You can simply sign up for a Physiotherapy session or Movement class on our online booking site or call us at 403 249 5253 and we will get you booked. We then send you an email to remind you of the technology you need (just a laptop with a camera and microphone!). Don’t worry; we build in a lot of extra time for our first call with you.
A little bit of trouble shooting with us at the helm gets you underway in no time. Once you see your Physiotherapist or Pilates teacher on the screen you are good to go! You will be amazed at what we can accomplish in our virtual setting. In fact, being able to see you in your home setting helps us understand your environment better which allows us to give you really personalized advice.

What our patients are saying about Online appointments:
“Thank you for valuable and needed information. I enjoyed the session and found it very useful. Having this medium to provide care gave me comfort that one is not left alone during this unfortunate pandemic. It is great to see that health professionals like yourself by thinking outside the box can provide us, the patients, and the needed care which helps us in other ways to cope with this situation.” Recent Telehealth User
Can I use my health insurance plan for online sessions?
Just as you would for an in-clinic visit, you may submit our receipt to your extended healthcare benefit plan, but please note that some insurance companies provide different coverage for in-person and telehealth appointments. Please check with your provider regarding your eligibility for coverage. We are able to provide direct billing for some of these insurance companies.
