Dr. Rae is a licensed acupuncturist and registered member of the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta. She completed the four-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (herbal medicine) Diploma at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018. Rae also holds a certificate in Holistic Nutrition Counselling from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Rae’s nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and 12-year pharmacy assistant career combine to provide a truly integrated and holistic approach to her practice. Her varied background allows her to stay current on innovation in both modern and traditional medicine.
WHAT RAE TREATS:
Rae’s interests include reproductive health for all genders, pregnancy support, painful or irregular menstruation and associated disorders (PCOS, PMS, endometriosis), digestive health, and stress and anxiety management. She also enjoys treating all types of musculoskeletal injuries, pain, and whiplash associated disorders (WAD injuries).
TECHNIQUES RAE USES:
Rae combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, IMS/dry needling, cupping, nutritional, herbal and lifestyle counselling to achieve balance, optimal performance, and well-being in her patients. Rae prides herself in her ability to hold space and truly listen to her patients.
WHAT RAE LOVES OUTSIDE OF WORK:
Rae is passionate about training for ultra-marathons and cracking cold beers on mountaintops. She loves spending time camping and adventuring with her partner, eating vegetables, and trying new things that scare her, like rock climbing and dealing with spiders that sneak into the tent.
