Katie Beaton is an Exercise Scientist with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Certified through Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology, STOTT Pilates, and Canada’s national Coaching Association, she blends evidence-based strength training, functional movement, and classic Pilates principles to support individuals across all levels.

Pilates has been a part of her life for over ten years, being introduced to the practice through the elite Ballet training she grew up in, it continues to be a modality of exercise she regularly engages in. After retiring from dance six years ago she began her teaching journey, gaining experience teaching private/ semi private sessions and group classes as both a Pilates instructor and high-performance strength coach.

She has worked with a wide range of high-performance organizations, including Dalhousie University Varsity Athletics, where she served as Head Student Athletic Therapist and Lead Strength Coach, Hockey Nova Scotia, the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic, and the University of Calgary, before recently joining Duckett Performance Centre.
