Mariana is a dedicated Physiotherapist trained in Brazil, with special interest and training in Women’s Health, Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions, Geriatrics and Pilates. She earned her Bachelor's degree in 2014 and right after graduating pursued a two-year post-graduation program in Women's Health, Men's Health, and Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions in Brazil. After becoming a Physiotherapist in Canada, she further enhanced her expertise by completing additional post-graduate courses in the same fields.
Mariana currently works with Alberta Health Services at the Pelvic Floor Clinic - Foothills Hospital, focused on women with various pelvic floor dysfunctions. She also has experience working with seniors, she worked at long term care facilities, provided home visits to this population, addressing their unique healthcare needs.
Committed to delivering the highest quality care, Mariana actively engages in professional development by attending continuing education courses and staying up-to-date with the latest research. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and working on her Spanish to be able to provide care in this language as well!
Outside of her professional life, Mariana enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active through weightlifting and running, exploring new places, and trying out local restaurants. She is excited to join Lakeview Physiotherapy and looks forward to getting to know everyone!
